Powerful Winter Storm Brings New Jersey to a Standstill as State of Emergency Declared<\/strong><\/p>\n

By mid-afternoon, much of New Jersey fell unusually quiet as a powerful winter storm disrupted daily life. Highways emptied, visibility dropped, and Acting Governor Tahesha Way declared a state of emergency, urging residents to avoid non-essential travel.<\/p>\n

Snowplow crews worked nonstop, but strong winds quickly covered cleared roads, making even short trips dangerous. Officials emphasized safety as conditions continued to worsen.<\/p>\n

Despite the storm, communities came together\u2014neighbors checked on seniors, shared supplies, and shelters prepared to help those facing outages.
