I work double shifts at the hospital to keep food on the table for my two boys, so when a police officer called saying my children were safe but I needed to come home immediately, my heart stopped.<\/p>\n

My oldest son, Logan, is seventeen. He\u2019s had a couple minor run-ins with police before \u2014 nothing serious, but enough to make a mother worry.<\/p>\n

The entire drive home, I imagined the worst.<\/p>\n
