Nine people were killed and 12 others injured in a head-on collision that shocked the country and triggered a major rescue and investigation effort.<\/p>\n<p>Early findings from the Civil Police of Minas Gerais indicate the truck crossed into the opposite lane, causing the direct impact with a van carrying workers returning to Cear\u00e1.
