One night, I rushed out of the shower after hearing my 3-year-old son crying, only to find him covered in what looked like blood while my wife sat nearby, absorbed in her iPad. Panic turned to relief when I realized it was just red paint\u2014but the real problem was far deeper.<\/p>\n

My son had been scared, alone, and crying for a long time. Angry and confused, I left with him the next morning and reached out to my mother-in-law for answers. That\u2019s when I learned my wife had been silently battling depression, overwhelmed by motherhood and the loss of her identity as an artist. Depression can make parents feel emotionally disconnected and exhausted, sometimes affecting their ability to engage with their children.<\/p>\n

With therapy, support, and time to reconnect with her passion for painting, my wife slowly found herself again. Our family wasn\u2019t instantly fixed, but we began healing together.<\/p>\n
