And after five years of treatment, it finally happened.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later, during an ultrasound, we found out we were expecting triplets.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4287\" src=\"https:\/\/nextpart.fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-108.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 685px) 100vw, 685px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nextpart.fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-108.png 685w, https:\/\/nextpart.fun\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/image-108-300x294.png 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"685\" height=\"671\" \/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My husband and I felt like the happiest people in the world.<\/p>\n<div class=\"code-block code-block-13\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two of the boys were born healthy, but the third, Rowan, had to stay in the NICU much longer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was extremely worried about him, but eventually, it seemed like Rowan was out of danger, and we were finally able to bring him home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was unbelievably happy to be the mother of three sons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But not for long.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few months later, Rowan got sick. We called an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then the doctor came out and told us that our baby hadn\u2019t survived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I felt like the ground had disappeared beneath my feet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My mom stayed with us at the hospital and helped me with everything.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She took care of the twins and helped me arrange the funeral.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because I barely had the strength to do anything at all. I was just trying to keep going.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And now 18 years have passed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That pain will never completely go away, but I\u2019m incredibly grateful to have my boys.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yesterday was the twins\u2019 eighteenth birthday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The boys invited their friends over and had a barbecue in our backyard. I ran into the kitchen to bring the cake outside when suddenly there was a knock at the door.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I opened it, and\u2026 no one was there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was a small gift box sitting on the porch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Written across the top in black marker were the words:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cHappy birthday, brothers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My bl:ood ran cold.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I carried the box into my bedroom. I assumed someone was playing a cruel joke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But something inside me told me I had to open that box.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So I did.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was a note lying on top.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was slightly crumpled and handwritten.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It said:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMom, please don\u2019t show this to anyone until you finish reading it. Don\u2019t trust Grandma. You won\u2019t believe what happened 18 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The moment I read the second line, I felt all the air leave my lungs.
