A particularly troublesome form is Dyshidrotic eczema (also called pompholyx), which causes itchy, fluid-filled blisters on the hands and feet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is Dyshidrotic Eczema?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt appears as tiny, painful blisters on the palms, fingers, and soles. While the exact cause is unknown, flares are often triggered by allergens, irritants, or stress<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who\u2019s at Risk?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt mostly affects adults under 40 and is more common in women. People with a history of other eczema types or allergies are more prone to develop it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Symptoms<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clusters of itchy, fluid-filled blisters on palms, fingers, and soles.<\/li>\n<li>Itching, burning, or tingling before blisters appear.<\/li>\n<li>After blisters heal: red, cracked, thick skin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Managing the Condition<\/strong><br \/>\nAlthough there\u2019s no cure, symptoms can often be controlled with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Moisturizers and gentle, fragrance-free skin care to prevent dryness.<\/li>\n<li>Topical creams (e.g. corticosteroids) or immune-modulating ointments.<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding triggers \u2014 harsh soaps, detergents, certain metals, sweating, stress.<\/li>\n<li>Protective measures like wearing cotton gloves when cleaning or handling irritants \u2014 especially during flare-ups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>As winter fades and summer nears, many of us look forward to sunshine \u2014 but for some, warmer weather brings back eczema flare-ups.
