In the attic I found old albums and that single hidden photo.<\/p>\n<p>There were plenty of pictures of me \u2014 but no other trace of this girl.<\/p>\n<p>I thought of my aunt Margaret, my mother\u2019s estranged sister, the only person who might know. I drove to her house with the photo.<\/p>\n<p>When I showed it to her, she broke down. She confessed: years ago our father had been unfaithful \u2014 with her.
