A man and his wife are jolted awake at 3 a.m. by loud pounding on the front door. Half-asleep and irritated, the husband drags himself out of bed and opens it to find a soaking-wet, drunken stranger asking for a push.<\/p>\n

\u201cAbsolutely not!\u201d the husband snaps. \u201cIt\u2019s three in the morning and pouring rain!\u201d He slams the door and goes back to bed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho was that?\u201d his wife asks.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome drunk guy wanting a push.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd you didn\u2019t help him?\u201d she presses.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo! It\u2019s the middle of the night!\u201d<\/p>\n

His wife sighs. \u201cFunny how short your memory is. Remember when we broke down three months ago and two strangers helped us? You should be ashamed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Grumbling, the husband gets dressed and steps into the rain. He calls into the darkness, \u201cHello? Are you still there?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes,\u201d comes a voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you still need a push?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, please!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhere are you?\u201d the husband asks.<\/p>\n
