Valerie Perrine, the Oscar-nominated star of Superman and Lenny, has died at 82 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

She passed away peacefully at her Beverly Hills home on March 23, 2026. Perrine rose to fame with her acclaimed role in Lenny (1974), earning an Academy Award nomination, and became widely known as Eve Teschmacher in Superman (1978) and its sequel.
