My MIL Found Out Her Son Was Cheating On Me — So She Hatched a Plan to Teach Him a Lesson He’d Never Forget

I stared at my phone, reading my MIL’s urgent text: “Meet me. Urgent. Don’t tell David.” After ten years of marriage, this was unusual. I texted back: “Where and when?”

She replied quickly: “Coffee shop on 5th. 30 minutes.”

When I arrived, Helen wasted no time. “David is cheating on you,” she said flatly. The blow was painful but not surprising. His behavior had been off for months.

She explained how she saw him with another woman. “I raised him better than this,” she added, vowing to teach him a lesson.

That night, David got a call from his mom about a flooded apartment. Helen arrived with suitcases, and we both knew something was coming.

The next morning, Helen made David his least favorite foods—each meal designed to torment him. Days passed, and his anxiety grew. Helen then secretly placed an AirTag in his work bag to track his movements.

We followed him to a restaurant where he met the woman. As he sat with her, my parrot squawked, “I’m a cheater!” from his phone, humiliating him.

David grew paranoid, and Helen announced a family dinner at her place. When everyone gathered, Helen confronted David, revealing his affair. I dropped divorce papers in front of him, and Helen followed up with a will update: the house would go to me and the kids, not him.

Later, on the porch swing with wine, Helen said, “You’re family now.” We toasted to new beginnings and unexpected heroes.
