Psoriasis is a chronic, non-contagious skin condition with several types: plaque (red patches with silvery scales), guttate (small drop-like spots), pustular (pus-filled blisters), inverse (in skin folds), and erythrodermic (severe, widespread redness and peeling).
It’s caused by immune system dysfunction and genetics, with triggers like alcohol, medications, and infections. Diagnosis is via exam or biopsy. While there’s no cure, treatments can effectively manage symptoms.
