“Your Grandpa Told Me…”

After my grandpa died, my grandma didn’t cry. She said he’d promised to keep making her smile. At first, I didn’t understand—but she told me he’d always sent her “signs,” like songs, flowers, and little coincidences.

After he passed, his old pocket watch suddenly started ticking again—at their wedding time, 6:17. She believed it was him keeping his promise.

As she grew weaker, her spirit stayed strong. One day, she smiled at a rainbow and said, “He did it again.” That night, she passed peacefully.

Beside her was the watch, still at 6:17, and a note: Don’t cry—love never dies. It just changes rooms.
