I boarded a long-haul flight to Europe, excited about my first-class seat—until I saw my seatmate: a famous, intimidating TV star. They immediately demanded I be moved. I calmly buckled up and said, “I paid for this seat too. I’m not moving.”
Tension filled the cabin. When they snapped, “Do you even know who I am?” I quietly took out my notebook and replied, “Yes—my mom loves your show. Would you write her a message?”
Their attitude changed instantly. They signed a kind note and apologized. As the flight continued, we talked like normal passengers, the tension gone.
