After 28 years together and 25 years of marriage, I expected my husband Aaron to cherish me, but on our anniversary, I quickly realized he was more interested in the young waitress, Kelsey. While we celebrated at the restaurant where we had our first date, Aaron barely paid attention to me, repeatedly glancing at Kelsey. Despite my attempts to steer the conversation back to us, Aaron continued to focus on her, even asking about her life.
I became upset and excused myself to the bathroom, where I broke down. When I returned, I saw Kelsey handing Aaron a note, which he quickly tucked away. After the dinner, I discovered the note in the trash—it was from Kelsey, reminding Aaron of how lucky he was to have me.
When Aaron returned home, he apologized, admitting he had been distracted and embarrassed. He expressed his love for me, and we spent the rest of the night reconnecting. The next day, I visited the restaurant to thank Kelsey, who had no idea how much her note had helped save our marriage. I left feeling hopeful about our future together.
