After a seemingly stable six-month marriage to Scott, things took a turn. Scott’s son, Ben, was sweet, and I got along with his mother, Patricia, during our courtship. But after our wedding, Patricia grew distant. Then, one evening, Scott dropped a bombshell: Patricia didn’t want Ben around me anymore and threatened to limit his visits if I stayed. I reluctantly agreed to leave every weekend and visit my parents.
Weeks turned into months, and I felt like a guest in my own home. Scott assured me it was temporary, for Ben’s sake. But one night, I arrived early to find Scott and Patricia on our couch—Patricia wearing my pajamas. Ben wasn’t there, and I soon realized this wasn’t about Ben at all. Patricia revealed she was trying to win Scott back, and Scott had been lying to me.
I confronted him and recorded his confession, exposing his betrayal. After a chaotic confrontation with Patricia, I kicked Scott out, throwing his belongings onto the lawn. He begged me to work things out, but I was done. I texted my mom, saying, “Everything’s perfect, Mom. No one is ever kicking me out of my place again.”
