Burger King is not shutting down entirely despite online rumors. Instead, the fast-food chain is closing underperforming locations while launching a major modernization plan called “Reclaim the Flame.”
The $400 million strategy includes upgrading restaurants, improving technology, refining the menu, and enhancing drive-thru and delivery systems. Around 400 more locations may close as part of the restructuring, with plans to modernize about 3,000 restaurants by 2026 to better compete with rivals like McDonald’s and Wendy’s.
