Kai Trump, the 17-year-old granddaughter of Donald Trump, has recently gained national attention for both her close relationship with her grandfather and her rising golf career.

Born on May 12, 2007, to Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump in New York City, Kai grew up largely outside the public spotlight despite belonging to one of America’s most famous families. She became more publicly visible during Trump family appearances but drew major attention in 2024 after giving an emotional speech at the Republican National Convention. During the speech, she described Donald Trump as a caring grandfather who checks on her grades, sneaks her candy, and proudly talks about her accomplishments with friends.

Kai also spoke emotionally about appearing at the convention shortly after the attempted assassination of her grandfather, calling the moment deeply meaningful for their family.

Beyond politics, Kai and Donald Trump share a strong passion for golf. She has frequently spoken about competing against him on the course, joking that he rarely lets her win. Her talent in the sport has become increasingly recognized, including winning a women’s club championship at one of Trump’s Florida golf clubs.

In 2024, Kai announced her commitment to play collegiate golf for the University of Miami women’s team, thanking her family for supporting her athletic goals. She has also built a growing following on social media, where she shares golf highlights, family moments, and glimpses of her daily life.

Despite the public attention surrounding her family name, Kai has said she prefers living quietly and wants her achievements to speak for themselves. With a promising future in golf and increasing public visibility, many believe she is beginning to establish an identity beyond the Trump family legacy.
