Abbie and Jonathan lived with his controlling mother, Susan, in Austin. Susan resented Abbie, believing she stole Jonathan’s attention. After Abbie gave birth to Timothy, Susan falsely claimed he wasn’t Jonathan’s and kicked them out. Jonathan, a “mama’s boy,” stayed silent. Abbie left, raised Timothy alone, and later married Edward, a widower with a daughter. Years later, Abbie found Susan dumpster diving, destitute.
Susan tearfully apologized, revealing Jonathan died after a robbery, leaving her broken. She regretted her actions and begged forgiveness. Abbie, now happy with her family, forgave Susan, who had suffered enough. Abbie began helping Susan, visiting her home, and inviting her to spend time with her family to ease her loneliness.
