A 43-year-old divorced mother, Jennifer, is struggling to raise her 16-year-old son, Josh, after being abandoned by her ex-husband, Derek.
One day, Josh comes home carrying two newborn twins. He reveals they are his father’s children—born to Derek’s new girlfriend, Sylvia—who became seriously ill after childbirth and was left alone when Derek walked away from them.
