JD Vance stirred controversy with remarks about Joe Biden’s recent prostate cancer diagnosis. At 82, the former president was found to have an aggressive form of the disease, though it is hormone-sensitive and treatable.
While many, including Donald Trump, offered supportive messages, Vance expressed concern about Biden’s past fitness for office. Speaking after a Vatican visit, he acknowledged the seriousness of Biden’s condition but questioned whether Biden had ever been physically capable of serving, urging accountability from those around him.
Vance also stressed the need for transparency on presidential health, citing national security concerns. His blunt comments, however, triggered widespread criticism, with many accusing him of politicizing a personal health issue and lacking compassion.
