Over 200 crypto investors spent big on Trump’s meme coin, $TRUMP—reportedly totaling $148M—to attend a dinner at Trump National Golf Club near DC. The top 25 investors alone spent $111M, with the average cost per guest around $1.78M, according to Nansen.
The event, billed as “the most exclusive invitation in the world,” featured a dinner under chandeliers with dishes like halibut and garlic mashed potatoes. But many attendees were unimpressed. One called it “the worst food” they’d had at a Trump venue, complaining about poor drink service and bland fare.
Trump appeared for only about an hour, gave a short speech, and danced briefly to “YMCA.” Gift bags included “Fight Fight Fight” merch and collectible cards. The top investors received $100K Trump-branded watches, with two more raffled off during the night.
