Woman Asks Her Ex to Plan Her Wedding but He Disappears at the Last Moment, Leaving Her a Letter

Emma paced the living room, her phone to her ear, frustration building. “She quit—two weeks before the wedding! Who does that?” she exclaimed, throwing the phone onto the coffee table, nearly hitting Matt’s mug.

Matt barely looked up. “Find another planner.”

Emma snapped, “You think that’s easy? They’re booked for months!”

“Then what?” he shrugged.

“I know someone, but you won’t like it,” Emma replied.

Matt froze. “Ryan? Your ex?”

“Yes,” she sighed. “He’s the best, and the only one who can help now.”

Matt groaned. “So, your ex plans our wedding?”

“If you have a better idea…”

“Fine,” he sighed, “But if he talks about prom, I’m out.”

Emma met Ryan at his sleek office, feeling the tension as they exchanged pleasantries. After explaining her situation, Ryan agreed to help, on one condition: dinner after the wedding.

Matt arrived, his suspicion palpable. Ryan extended a hand, and Matt reluctantly shook it.

Later, as Emma and Ryan worked together, the caterer messed up, swapping filet mignon for vegan lasagna. Ryan joked it could be a “newlywed cleanse,” and Emma laughed, grateful for his calm in the chaos.

Their moment shifted when Ryan said, “You’re incredible.” As he leaned in, Emma pulled away, saying, “I can’t betray Matt.”

Ryan stepped back, regret on his face. “I’m sorry.”

Later, Matt found Emma holding a note from Ryan—he couldn’t bear to watch her marry someone else. Tension escalated between Emma and Matt when he accused her of more with Ryan, and Emma realized she couldn’t marry someone who didn’t trust her.

She stepped out in front of the guests and announced, “I’m sorry, everyone. There won’t be a wedding today.”

Later, Emma knocked on Ryan’s door. “I called off the wedding,” she said, heart racing. Ryan’s confusion shifted to surprise as he let her in.
