Ad While I Was Hospitalized, My Children Put Our Home on Airbnb — So I Came Up with a Lesson They Won’t Forget

Mariah hadn’t been feeling well, so she admitted herself to the hospital for a full check-up. While she was away, her kids secretly listed her house on Airbnb to make some quick cash. When Mariah found out, she decided to teach them a lesson.

One day, her friend Liz called, surprised to see Mariah’s house listed online. Mariah was shocked and asked for the link. Meanwhile, her kids had been urging her to get checked out, worried about her health.

With encouragement from Liz, Mariah finally went for a thorough hospital check-up, where she stayed for a few days. During that time, her children rented out her home without permission.

Once discharged, Mariah teamed up with Liz to confront the situation. She had the friend book the house under a fake account to keep an eye on things. Then, Mariah quietly packed away all her appliances, leaving just an old toaster behind, hiding the rest to disrupt the unauthorized rentals.

When Mariah returned home, Leah and Liam had replaced everything with new appliances, thinking it would make up for their actions. Mariah revealed she had taken all the original items, explaining that their decision had broken her trust.

Leah apologized sincerely and promised to return everything and give Mariah the money earned. Mariah reminded her kids that if they ever needed help, they should talk to her instead of sneaking behind her back.
