Donald Trump breaks silence on Elon Musk’s new ‘America Party’ with brutal statement

The relationship between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk is now fractured. Once allies—with Musk even heading the Department of Government Efficiency—their bond broke after Musk hinted Trump was named in a confidential section of the Epstein files, later retracting and apologizing.

Musk opposed Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” warning of catastrophic job losses, and vowed to fund campaigns against its backers. He also announced a new political party, the America Party, intended to challenge both Republicans and Democrats. In response, Trump ridiculed the idea, calling third parties ineffective “chaos,” and even threatened deportation.

Trump also claimed Musk targeted him due to proposed federal EV subsidy rollbacks, and criticized Musk for pushing to appoint Jared Isaacman—an ally and space industry figure—to NASA, a plan scrapped after Musk left government.

Musk fired back on X, calling America a “one‑party system” and heralding the America Party as a path to regain freedom. Whether it materializes remains uncertain, but Trump shows no sign of taking it seriously.
