When I found out I was pregnant again, I was thrilled. Ryan and I had discussed having another baby, but with our busy lives and twin boys, Jake and Liam, we figured it would happen when it happened. So, when I saw the positive test, it felt like the perfect surprise. I decided to share the news as Ryan’s birthday gift: a small box with the test inside.
After a doctor’s appointment, I rushed home, excited to see his reaction. But when I walked in, I saw seven suitcases lined up in the living room. The boys excitedly told me we were going on an adventure because Ryan didn’t like my gift. I panicked, thinking he was leaving me, especially since he wasn’t answering my calls.
When Ryan finally came home, he was cheerful and surprised at my worry. He explained the suitcases were for a surprise family trip, a gift for us all. We were going on one last adventure before the pregnancy progressed. I felt instant relief, though I was still a bit shaken. We had a great trip, and it turned out I was carrying a girl!
