Then, hours later, Trump signed into law the Epstein Files Transparency Act, forcing the U.S. Department of Justice to publish all unclassified Epstein-related records within 30 days.
Under the law, DOJ must release documents including those about investigations of Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, flight logs, travel records, communications, and files on individuals linked in those investigations.
Sensitive material — victims’ identities, classified information, ongoing-investigation data — can still be withheld or redacted.
