Jennifer, a single mother of four, struggled after her husband left. Desperate for work, she found a housekeeping job but couldn’t afford the cab fare. She bought a used car by pawning a family heirloom for $5,500. The seller, Jeff, accepted her offer and told her to check the trunk when she got home.
Days later, Jennifer found her $5,000 still in the trunk. She returned to thank Jeff, who said, “You need it more than I do. Just pay it forward.”
