The moment Shakira leaves the stage

In September 2024, during a performance at Miami’s LIV nightclub, Shakira abruptly left the stage after noticing a fan trying to film up her skirt. While performing her new single “Soltera,” she adjusted her dress, signaled the fan to stop, and exited. Fans widely supported her, condemning the disrespectful behavior.

This incident followed her move from Barcelona to Miami with her children, Sasha and Milan, after separating from long-time partner Gerard Piqué. Despite this, she released “Soltera” later that month and began the “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” in Rio de Janeiro in February 2025. During the Colombian leg of the tour, fellow Colombian artist Karol G praised Shakira’s influence in Latin music.

Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll was born on February 2, 1977, in Barranquilla, Colombia, to a Lebanese father and Spanish mother. She began performing young and was discovered by Sony Music Colombia at 13, releasing her debut album *Magia* in 1991. Her breakthrough came with *Pies Descalzos* (1995), followed by *Dónde Están los Ladrones?* (1998).

Her first English album, *Laundry Service* (2001), included hits like “Whenever, Wherever” and “Underneath Your Clothes.” She later released successful albums such as *Fijación Oral, Vol. 1* (2005), *She Wolf* (2009), *Sale el Sol* (2010), and *El Dorado* (2017). Shakira has won three Grammys, 11 Latin Grammys, and a Golden Globe.

Beyond music, she is a businesswoman and philanthropist, launching fragrance, clothing, and restaurant ventures, serving as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and promoting education and literacy. Shakira’s career and contributions have made her one of the most influential and beloved artists globally.
