The White House addressed concerns about a bruise on Donald Trump’s hand after it sparked online speculation. Trump, 78, was seen with the bruise following a handshake with French President Macron on February 24. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that the bruise was a result of Trump shaking hands with countless Americans daily.
However, some questioned whether the bruise was related to Trump’s age, with doctor Stuart Fischer suggesting that as people age, blood vessels weaken, making bruises more likely. Fischer also noted that osteoarthritis, common in older adults, could contribute to easier bruising.
Despite the explanation, some Americans remain concerned about the impact of age on Trump’s ability to lead, similar to concerns raised about President Biden’s age. Trump has promised to release his full medical report, fueling further speculation.
