In a move to cut costs, Logan’s Roadhouse laid off all employees and closed 261 locations instead of shifting to takeout and delivery during the economic crisis.
The chain is owned by CraftWorks Holdings, which also owns Old Chicago. The company furloughed workers and ended healthcare benefits at a time many needed them most.
Former CEO Hazem Ouf was fired after allegedly diverting $7 million in sales taxes without proper authorization. Shortly after, CraftWorks “mothballed” all 261 locations, claiming it lacked funds to continue operations.
