I thought I had life under control—work, kids, home. But when Lily’s grades dropped, I began to struggle. My big project with Oliver kept me at the office late, and at home, I was overwhelmed. Martha, my mother-in-law, suggested moving in to help, but I refused. Instead, I hired Jackie, a governess, who quickly became a favorite with the kids.
As I focused on work, things seemed to improve at home—until things took a strange turn. The neighbors began acting odd, and one evening, I came home to find “CHEATER” spray-painted on the garage, with a photo of me and Oliver attached. Tom confronted me, and I lied about the situation, avoiding the truth about a trip with Oliver.
Later, I found Jackie’s diary, revealing her involvement in undermining me. She had been working with Martha to drive a wedge between Tom and me, planting fake evidence. When I returned home after a business success, I found my things outside, and Martha told me I was no longer welcome. Jackie had taken my place.
Devastated, I realized I still had my kids. I convinced them to help me expose Jackie and Martha’s plot. Armed with proof, we confronted Tom. The truth came out, and he finally saw the conspiracy against me.
