My Daughter Always Came Back from School Sad & Her Reason Made Me Divorce My Husband

For nine years, I believed I had a loving marriage with Nathan, whom I married young right out of high school. We planned to grow together, but over time, things fell apart. Nathan criticized my appearance and accused me of being a bad mother, despite me working from home while caring for our daughter, Ellie.

We moved to a new city for a fresh start, but things worsened when Ellie started coming home upset. One day, she tearfully revealed that her teacher, Miss Allen, had told Nathan she’d be a better mother to her. It all clicked: Nathan was having an affair with Miss Allen.

Confronting him, he confessed he’d been seeing her for weeks before our move. I confronted Miss Allen, but she denied everything. I transferred Ellie to another school, and soon after, I filed for divorce. Though painful, it was a relief. My focus is now on Ellie, ensuring she feels loved and secure. Nathan can visit her, but she is my priority.
